Dave St.Pierre (CA) and Silke Grabinger met in the Cirque du Soleil production „LOVE“ in Las Vegas.
Dave choreographed the solo „While my Guitar gently weeps“ by Georg Harrison on Silke, who performed it 1000 times. The artists share an interesting love-hate relationship to this 123 million dollars pop-production at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas. But they share also an interest in female icons of film history and a fascination for failing characters, like in Lars von Trier’s movie “Melancholia”. They move between sadness and a brutal necessity of creation. In their first collaboration “For A…”, they move between making things come alive in an extremely plastic way and an orgy of destruction and monstrosity.
